Charles also served as the minister at the South Germantown Road church of Christ in Memphis, Tennessee. He has preached at congregations in Clarksville, Texas and Dennison, Texas. Charles earned the Bachelor of Journalism degree at the University of Texas in Austin, and he holds a Master of Divinity degree from Harding School of Theology.
